Liberty Scales Warranty Policy - 5 Year Limited Warranty

Liberty Scales ("Liberty") warrants its products to be free from defects in materials and workmanship for a period of five (5) years from the date of purchase. This warranty covers load cells, cables, and indicators included with the product, but excludes damages to the actual product.

Warranty Services:

If the product proves defective during the warranty period, Liberty, at its discretion will provide the following warranty services:

Repair: Liberty may offer telephone support services to diagnose and repair the product at no charge for parts.
Replacement: Liberty may replace the defective product with a comparable product, which may be new or refurbished.

Warranty Claim Process:

Customers are encouraged to first utilize support materials provided by the product, product diagnostics, information available on our website, and email support. If these initial steps are unsuccessful, to obtain service under this warranty, the Customer must notify Liberty Scales or its authorized service representative of the defect before the expiration of the warranty period.

Customers are expected to provide appropriate assistance to our Telephone Support personnel to resolve issues. If telephone support is unable to resolve the issue, Liberty Scales or its authorized service representative will guide the customer on how to receive warranty repair as provided below.

Service Availability:

Service under this warranty is available in the United States only. Liberty Scales reserves the right to charge for service in exceptional cases.

Remote Access:

If the Customer's product features remote diagnostics and repair capabilities, Liberty Scales may request remote access to the product for troubleshooting and repair purposes.

Replacement Parts:

During the maintenance of the product, Liberty Scales may use new or equivalent-to-new parts, assemblies, or products of equal or improved quality. All defective parts, assemblies, and products become the property of Liberty Scales, and return and claims will be handled in accordance with Liberty Scales' current procedure.

Exclusions:

The following items are not covered by this warranty:

Batteries
Exposed cables and wires
Other wearing parts
Software

However, Liberty Scales warrants the above parts to be free from defects in materials and workmanship for a period of one week from the date of purchase.

This warranty shall not apply to any defect, failure, or damage caused by:

a) Improper use or improper or inadequate maintenance and care
b) Attempts by personnel other than Liberty Scales representatives to install, repair, or service the product unless directed by a Liberty Scales representative
c) Use of incompatible equipment or non-Liberty Scales supplies or consumables
d) Modification or integration of the product with other products that increases the time or difficulty of servicing or degrades performance or reliability
e) Failure to perform user maintenance and cleaning as prescribed in product materials
f) Use of the product in an environment not meeting the operating specifications set forth in the user manual
g) Failure to properly prepare and transport the product as prescribed in product materials

Liberty Scales and its vendors disclaim any implied warranties of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose or any similar standard imposed by applicable legislation. Liberty Scales' responsibility to repair, replace, or offer a refund for defective products and related items is the sole and exclusive remedy provided to the customer for breach of these warranties.

Some states, provinces, and countries may not allow the exclusion or limitation of incidental or consequential damages or exclusions or limitations on the duration of implied warranties or conditions, so the above limitations or exclusions may not apply to you. This warranty gives you specific legal rights, and you may also have other rights that vary by state or jurisdiction.

Limitation of Liability:

To the extent allowed by local law, except for the obligations specifically set forth in this warranty statement, in no event shall Liberty Scales and its vendors be liable for any indirect, special, incidental, or consequential damages (including loss of profits) whether based on contract, tort, or any other legal theory and irrespective of whether Liberty Scales or the vendor has advance notice of the possibility of such damages.
